Mineral weathering for mineral soils in Ireland, based on elemental analysis of acid-digested soil samples, expressed as oxides, converted to mineralogies using the A2M model, and further used to indicate equilibrium weathering rates using the PROFILE model. Sites of samples are shown overlayed, but are also available mapped separately.
Another indicator of nutrient supply in mineral soils is cation exchange capacity (CEC), which can be mapped separately.Mineral weathering rates applied to associations led by acid mineral soils.
